Ann Balicki

Westfield – Ann (Wallinovich) Balicki, 92, passed away on September 17, 2016 at Mt. St. Vincent Care Center in Holyoke. She was born in Westfield to the late Anthony and Irene (Tratiak) Wallinovich and was a graduate of Westfield High School. She was employed at Westfield High School as an Audio-Visual Aide for many years retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church and an active member of their Rosary Society. Ann was a faith-filled woman who loved her family.  Ann enjoyed playing bridge, dancing and being active. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Henry Zawada in 1975 and Stanley Balicki in 1997.  She is survived by her loving children, Maureen Wrobleski and her late husband Henry Wrobleski of Westfield, Carol (James)Demeo of Southwick, step-son David (Ginger) Balicki of Blandford and step daughter Laurie (Steve) Chistolini of Westfield.  Ann leaves her sister and friend Nellie Gaido.   She also leaves her nine cherished grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Jill (Derek) D’Errico, Marc (Nicole) Wrobleski, Jason Wrobleski and Dee Poitras, Kristen (Scott) Roth, Joanna (Jonathan) Miles, Christopher Chistolini, Cara (Ryan) Johnson, Jeremy (Tracy) Balicki and Peter Balicki. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Abby, Claire and Penelope.  Ann was predeceased by her brothers, Louie and William Wallinovich and her sisters, Mary Benoit and Marion Krawczyk. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral  Home, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA, followed by a Mass at 10 am in Holy Trinity Church, 333 Elm St., Westfield.  Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-6:30 pm.   Ann requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Fabry Support and Information Group, 108 NE 2nd St. Suite C, Concordia, MO, 64020 or Holy Trinity Church, 333 Elm Street, Westfield, MA.
