WEST SPRINGFIELD – Four different players scored one goal apiece, three of which came in the second period, and the second-seeded Westfield Bombers upended the No. 3 Minnechaug Falcons in West Division 3 hockey semifinal Thursday night at the Olympia Ice Center.

Liam Whitman collected three assists, earning his career 100th point in the process.
Westfield (16-5) earns a trip to the championship where it will meet top-seeded Longmeadow Thurs., March 9 at 8:30 p.m.
Sean Moorhouse put Westfield out front early with the game’s opening goal early in the first period. Matt Kowal tied it for Minnechaug (14-7) a short time later.
Westfield outscored Minnechaug in a wild second period 3-2 with goals from Max Maggipinto, John Danahey, and Scotty Bussell, the game-winner, to secure a finals trip.
