WESTFIELD – Football season is right around the corner, and with that comes the release of the 2016 Westfield High School football schedule.
This season serves up five home games at Bullens Field, and – due to a quirky schedule – three road contests have the Bombers playing at Central High School’s Berte Field in Springfield.

Teams typically rotate home and away games with an opponent every other year. It just so happens that this season, Westfield plays at Central, Commerce, and Putnam, each of which call Berte Field “home.”
Westfield kicks off the 2016 season Friday, September 9 against Hoosac Valley at Bullens Field. Kick off is slated for 7 p.m.
In Week 2 (Sept. 16), Westfield hosts Agawam, before hitting the road in Weeks 3-4 (Sept. 23, 30) at Central and Commerce, respectively. The Bombers return for consecutive home games against West Springfield (Oct. 7) and Northampton (Oct. 14). They travel to Springfield to take on Putnam (Oct. 21) and host East Longmeadow (Oct. 28).
All games kick off Friday nights at 7.
