Brozini, Bombers shine

WESTFIELD – It was a sunny day in more ways than one for the Westfield High School girls’ soccer team.
Westfield won its first game of the 2015 season, routing Palmer 5-1 Tuesday at home. Several players shined brightly for the Bombers.
Annie Brozini scored two goals to lead Westfield (1-2). Bombers’ Shelby Chambers finished with one goal and one assist, and Kelsey Kiltonik and Alanna Burzola tallied one goal apiece. Erin McDermott, Mya Sanders, and Katrina Arona each had one assist.
Westfield goalies Jessica Healey and Lindsay Cousins combined for five saves.

Saints’ Shed, White log hat tricks
St. Mary 8, Commerce 1

Lexi Shedd and Olivia White both managed to net hat tricks in St. Mary’s rout of visiting Commerce Tuesday at Westfield Middle School North.
Francesca DePergola and Sam Manchino each notched a goal for the Saints.
Forwards Lexi Shedd and Olivia White were solid all around for St. Mary. Saints’ Turrini and Sam Manchino. Elisa Kosinski and Chloe Lussier played a good game on defense.
