Car crashed into Wal-Mart in Westfield

WESTFIELD–A vehicle crashed into a wall near the entrance of Wal-Mart Tuesday afternoon.

Police received a call around 1:30 p.m., reporting a two-car collision involving a 2008 Subaru Forester and a 2009 Hyundai Sonata.

It was reported that the Forester first struck the Sonata, then struck the building. The operator from the Forester, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Baystate Noble Hospital by Westfield Fire paramedics, which was also the only reported injury.

Both vehicles required a tow, but the building was not heavily damaged and remained open after the incident. The entire scene was cleaned within an hour of it happening.
