WESTFIELD – The Westfield Youth Lacrosse 4th Grade Bantam Team recently won the Glastonbury LaxFest in Connecticut. By notching victories over the Newtown, Simsbury, and Glastonbury Red, White, and Blue teams, Westfield took home the title.
In addition to this recent championship, Westfield also won the Bobcat Blast Tournament in South Windsor in late April.
Westfield improved to 15-0 with victories on Thursday.
“Through unselfish team play this year, the boys have experienced some great successes and learned many valuable life lessons,” Westfield coach Dan Lawry said. “I wish them luck as they bear down on the end of the season. Go Jr. Bombers!”
The team strikes the traditional “We’re #1” pose after sweeping the competition at the Glastonbury Laxfest on May 17 in Glastonbury, Conn.
