Dorothy L. Morgan

WESTFIELD: Flower ButterflyDorothy Louise Morgan, 94, of Westfield, MA passed away at her home on April 26, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born June 18, 1920 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Fred and Emma (Dietz) Libutzke. She grew up in Hartford, CT and graduated from Hartford High School. She attended comptometer school and was the office manager for Dougherty Drug Store chain for many years. She had great success in her career while simultaneously being a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Dorothy lived the last 30 years in Southwick MA to be close to her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and an active member of her community. She was fond of travel and reading, and was deeply devoted to her family. She made great efforts to ensure that all of her relatives felt warmth and support that makes for a loving family. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Arthur C. Morgan. She leaves her two daughters, Valerie Dupuis of Westfield and Pamela Mozdzanowski and her husband Paul, of Agawam, her grandchildren, Paula Zering and her husband Daniel, Linda DeNote Sergio and her husband Mark, Jason Dupuis, Sarah Trude and her husband Adam and Amy McDonald, great-grandchildren, Joseph and Miranda Crevier, Jessica and Jennifer Zering, Ezekiel and Arianna Dupuis, Nicholas Mazzaand Hannah Dupuis, and a special friend, Linda Colby. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Charles and John Libutzke. The family would like to thank her friends and staff at Heritage Woods where she enjoyed living for the last year. We would also like to extend our deepest appreciations to all her caregivers from Life Choice Hospice. We are eternally grateful to you for helping our loved one cross gently to the other side. Dorothy’s courage and humor in the face of adversity is a testament of her strength that she exhibited throughout her lifetime. She was always there for her family; a matriarch in the true sense of the word. She will be greatly missed by all. All services will be private.
