Frances M. Rudat

WESTFIELD-Frances M. (Boguszewski) Nawskon Rudat, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Renaissance Manor on Cabot, in Holyoke. She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Joseph and Bronslawa (Symaniak) Boguszewski, she spent her early life in Westfield and the remainder living in Holyoke. Frances was married to Edward I. Nawskon in 1949 and he passed away in 1958, she then married William C. Rudat who passed away in 2007. Frances was a 1945 graduate of Westfield High School and worked at Old Colony for many years retiring in 1986. She enjoyed traveling the country and one of her last trips was to the Cayman Islands to attend her grandsons wedding. Frances was an avid seamstress, loved to knit, crochet and read, she was a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader and a Parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren could talk to her about anything. Her family would like to thank Caitlyn at Renaissance on Cabot and all the staff and the care she received from Dr. Frank Croke. Beside her husband, Frances was predeceased by her sister Mary Greenier, her brothers, Leon and Joseph Boguszewski and two grandsons, Joseph in 1973 and Karl in 2013, she is survived by her son Edward Nawskon and his wife Tracy of Agawam, her two daughters Kathleen Pike and her husband Dennis and Diane Brunelle and her husband Wade, all of Holyoke, a step-son Bobby Rudat of California, two brothers, Peter Boguszewski and his wife, Joyce and Stanley Boguszewski and his wife, Rose, all of Westfield, a sister-in-law Shirley Rudat of Southwick, her nine cherished grandchildren, Tony, Angela, Kelly, Aaron, Jill, Daniel, Joel, Nicole and Elizabeth, 12 great grandchildren and one expected great grandchild. Frances’ funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan 17 at 9AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St. Westfield. Rites of Committal will follow in Mater Delarosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Jan 16 from 4-7p.m.  at the funeral home.
