WESTFIELD – Voc-Tech completed an incredible regular season at 13-2-3 overall in boys’ soccer with an 8-0 shutout of Hampden County School of Science Monday.
The Tigers received hat tricks from Alex Stepanchuk and Alex Makarchuk. Dmitry Stepanchuk added one goal and three assists, and Tyler Hall had a goal. Vitaly Melnik had two assists.
Voke will enter into the Massachusetts Vocational Schools boys’ soccer tourney, beginning with a semifinal game against No. 3 Upper Cape Tuesday at Bullens Field at 6 p.m. The Tigers are the second seed.

The Voc-Tech girls’ soccer team lost a tough one despite 24 big saves from Tigers’ goalie Megan Illnicky.
FIELD HOCKEY PLAYOFF NOTES
WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School field hockey team will begin the playoff journey on the road.
Westfield, seeded fifth in the Division I field hockey tourney, will travel to Agawam to take on the No. 4 Brownies Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The two teams split the season series, 1-1.
