Hundreds of families walk in the annual March for Babies at Stanley Park in Westfield

WESTFIELD (WWLP) – Hundreds of western Massachusetts families on a mission Saturday walked through Westfield’s Stanley Park. They participated in the annual March of Dimes’ March for Babies.
A gathering that raises money to support prenatal wellness programs, as well helping families deal with the emotional side of their babies born prematurely.
Ashley LeBlanc of Holyoke said she has much to be thankful for. “Mason was born at 30 weeks, he was only 16 and a half ounces and ten inches long. And a lot of the therapy he received has resulted in being what he is today.”
The annual Walk for Babies has the distinction of being the nation’s oldest fundraising walk honoring babies born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive.
Westfield News media partner 22News anchor and reporter Kate Walsh served as master of ceremonies for the Stanley Park event.
