SOUTHWICK – Jeffrey P. Horkun, 48, of Southwick, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2016. Born on June 29, 1968 in Westfield, MA, he grew up in Southwick and was a lifelong resident. He attended Southwick schools then decided to work side-by-side with his father in the family septic tank business. From a young age, Jeff built up the family business with his strong work ethic and faithful service to the community. During his time leading the company he had his brother John Jr. working with him, as well as close friends Derek Nutbrown and John Lampson. Throughout his struggles and illnesses, Jeff had an unbelievable sense of humor, retained his quick wit, and could pull just about anyone into his humor. Jeff will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed enough to know him. He is survived by his mother, Eileen (Whitney) Horkun of Southwick; his brother, John Horkun, Jr., of Agawam; his nephews, Nicholas Robare and Nathan Horkun, both of Southwick; and his cousin, Linda-Gail Case of North Granby, CT. Jeff was predeceased by his father, John Horkun, Sr., and his sister, Luree Robare. Funeral arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family and they request no flowers.
