WESTFIELD- John Roy McClenahan, (1950-2015) 64, passed away on Thursday April 2, 2015 in the presence of loved ones. Born in Jackson, Mississippi he was the son of the late Marjorie (Dumin) and Roy C. McClenahan. John was also pre-deceased by a brother, Larry McClenahan of Westfield; and his twin sister, Jennifer McCullough of Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Westfield High School. John went into the U.S. Army after high school, where he became an Arctic Ranger in Alaska and also served as a radio operator. Following his honorable discharge, he became a cook in many places in Westfield such as the Old Whip and Points East. He worked at Railroad Weed Control (RWC) for many years, based out of Westfield. He was a caretaker of Bullens Baseball Field in Westfield for over 10 years and became a baseball mentor to many of the youth in the area. He was active in the Westfield Sportsman’s Club. An avid outdoorsman he loved fishing, making fishing lures and hunting. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church, Westfield. He leaves his former spouse, Monica Perez of Westfield; a son Jesse (Shannon) , a daughter, Caitlin all of Westfield; a sister, Marjorie McClenahan of Southampton, 4 beautiful grandchildren, Jesse Jr., Alivia, Lukas and Anastasia; and one niece, Marjorie Britton. He was loved and will be missed by all.
