Louisa Bandera

Westfield – roses-pink-and-yellowLouisa (Zanibelli) Bandera, 98, of Westfield, MA, former resident of Enfield and wife of the late Arrigo A. Bandera entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Genesis Westfield Center.  Louisa was born August 23, 1918, in Glastonbury, CT the only daughter of the late Ferruchio and Maria (Brunello) Zanibelli.  Louisa was employed as a bookkeeper with Walt Disney Productions in Manhattan, NY until her marriage to Arrigo.  Louisa dedicated her life to her family especially her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling.  Louisa was a faithful parishioner of Holy Family Church and member of the Homemaker’s Council. She is survived by two children, Robert P. Bandera and his wife, Ann of Wickenburg, AZ and Linda J. Check and her husband, David of Westfield, MA; three grandchildren, Jessica Schoumaker and her husband, Curtis of Prescott Valley, AZ, Justin Check of Newton Falls, MA and, Rebecca Check of Westfield, MA, a great-grandson, Mitchell Schoumaker, and several nieces and nephews. Louisa was predeceased by a daughter, Denise L. Bandera and a brother, Guido Zani. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.  A funeral procession will gather on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans,  P.O.
