WESTFIELD – On January 16t, The Builder’s Club of Kiwanis International at North Middle School, advised by Mrs. Doiron, held their annual Pajama Day Event to help raise money, collect new pajamas, and new/gently used storybooks for children who have to live in area shelters. The school raised a total of $720.00, collected 15 pairs of new pajamas, and an amazing total of 466 new or gently used books. A great success!
Ann Kudelka, the director of the Pajama Program of Western Mass. attended the Builder’s Club meeting on February 3rd to collect the books, pajamas, and check.
The homerooms at North Middle School were given a challenge- The students had one week to bring in money, p.j.’s, and books. Many homerooms worked hard to stay in the lead.
The homeroom to win the challenge, grade 6 Mr. Wroth, with a total of $302.00. Congratulations to the winning homeroom! Everyone is a winner when they can help others who are less fortunate.
