4:26 p.m.: fire, Shepard Street, a caller reports a campfire is creating a lot of smoke in the neighborhood, the responding firefighters report finding a medium sized campfire, the residents were advised of the pertinent city ordinances and extinguished their fire;
9:56 p.m.: larceny, Klondike Avenue, a resident came to the station to report that a registration plate is missing from her vehicle, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she does not know when or where the plate disappeared;
10:22 p.m.: officer wanted, Holyoke Road, a caller reports there is a strange noise in her house she cannot identify or locate, the responding officer reports he turned off a bathroom fan which had been inadvertently engaged;

7:21 a.m.: breaking and entering, Kane Brothers Circle, a resident reported on-line that his pickup truck was entered and $42.50 in coin was stolen from the vehicle, the victim reports he noticed an odor of perfume in the tuck;
8:32 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have expired registration, the pickup truck was towed to the police impound yard;
8:46 a.m.: animal complaint, White Street, an animal control officer reports a resident took custody of a stray dog, the ACO reports the dog was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
10:18 a.m.: fraud, Pineridge Drive, a resident came to the station to report she was victimized by an online scam, the responding officer reports the woman said that she had offered a treadmill for sale online and a buyer sent two checks considerably in excess of the purchase price, the victim said that she was told via an email message that the checks had been sent by mistake and she was asked to cash the checks and send the buyer traveling in Spain the excess funds via Western Union, the woman said that she complied with the request and has not heard from the putative buyer since, the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the detective bureau;
12:22 p.m.: larceny, Governor’s House, 66 Broad Street, a caller reports a resident said that her change purse has been stolen, the responding officer reports the resident said that a heirloom wallet which had belonged to her husband is missing, the woman said the wallet contains identification and a small amount of cash, the woman said she does not know when or where the wallet disappeared;
12:38 p.m.: assist citizen, 15 Washington St., a resident came to the station to surrender medications which had been left in his home by a person who stayed at the residence for a time but moved out about a year ago, services rendered;
1:26 p.m.: fraud, Pilgrim Drive, a resident came to the station to report that she was notified of possibly fraudulent attempts to access her credit card for online purchases, the officer reports the woman said that an attempt had been made to buy three computers valued at about $3,000 with her credit card, the account was closed and the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the detective bureau;
3:06 p.m.: suspicious activity, Noble Avenue, a caller reports someone entered his home, stole a jar of quarters and took a shower, the responding officer reports the resident said that he came home to find the mirrors in his bathroom were fogged up and “Hi” was written on the mirror, the caller said that he found two unknown towels in his home and a jar of collectible quarters was missing, the victim said that about three weeks earlier he had allowed a man he met online to stay at his home in exchange for work around the house but that man is no longer there and the locks have been changed, there were no signs of forcible entry;
3:19 p.m.: fire, Hampden Street, a caller reports smoke in the area, the responding officer reports a resident was found to be burning scrap lumber in his back yard, the fire was extinguished;
4:46 p.m.: disorderly conduct, Franklin Street, a traffic bureau officer reports he observed a man attempting to cross Franklin Street at an angle and advised the man to cross at a crosswalk, the officer reports the man entered a crosswalk but did not wait for the appropriate traffic signal and walked into the roadway where he disrupted traffic, stopped and began to yell, Dennis Rosa-Roman, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested for disorderly conduct;
5:46 p.m.: larceny, Lewis Street, a resident came to the station to report the theft of a computer, the responding officer reports that a childhood friend recently re-established contact with him and he allowed the man to stay at his residence, the complaint said that the man left abruptly on Sunday and later in the day he found his laptop computer valued at $1,500 to be missing;
6:40 p.m.: larceny, Powder Mil Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports cash was stolen from her residence, the responding officer reports the caller said that her brother is the only person who has been in her residence since she cashed a check Sunday, the woman said she discovered almost $150 to be missing on Tuesday;
7:05 p.m.: accident, Pochassic Road, a caller reports a pickup truck struck a bridge abutment and rolled over but the caller and others rolled the vehicle back on to its wheels, the responding officer reports that the operator had been westbound on Pochassic Road when he began to feel the effects of a stroke, the vehicle struck the abutment and rolled on to the driver’s side but the operator’s friends were in the area and uprighted the pickup truck, the operator was removed from the vehicle, the man was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he was admitted and reported to be in critical condition Wednesday afternoon;
8:45 p.m.: found property, Montgomery Street, a community policing officer reports while investigating an apparently unrelated matter he found a city street sign on the common landing of an apartment building, the officer reports he was not immediately able to make contact with any of the tenants of the building, the sign was seized and transported to the station;
10:16 p.m.: trespassing, Sadie Know Playground, 32 Prospect Street, a community policing officer reports while on bike patrol he observed a light in one of the dugouts at the playground and approached to find three youths walking away from the dugout, the trio stopped when instructed to do so and the officer observed that one was wearing a backpack which contained a bottle, the officer reports that the youth discarded the bottle and fled but was found nearby by another officer, the bottle was found to be partially full of liquor and the boy was found to be 19-years-old, the boy was issued a city ordinance violation citation, a “no trespassing” order and was returned to the custody of his parents;
11:01 p.m.: assault, Sackett St., a caller reports he was assaulted in the common hallway of his apartment building by a known party who was visiting a neighbor, the officer reports the caller identified his assailant and the officer observed obvious cuts and lumps on the man’s face, the man was advised that facial bones appeared to have been broken and he was transported to Noble Hospital where he was treated and discharged, the suspect is believed to be homeless so a warrant was requested on charges of assault and battery;
11:20 p.m.: found property, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a wallet on the sidewalk of Elm Street and used the identification in it to notify the owner, the owner came to the station to collect his property and said that he last used his wallet at a Main Street supermarket and had not been in the area where it was found, the man said that the wallet was intact except for about $300 in cash which had been in the wallet;
11:48 p.m.: disturbance, Free Street, a caller reports a group of persons are creating a disturbance, the responding officer reports he found a group in a parking lot and one woman was seen to be bleeding from an abrasion on her forehead, the officer reports the woman said that she had been outside walking when she was confronted by her boyfriend’s former girlfriend and the confrontation became physical when the woman struck her, the officer spoke with witnesses and receive conflicting accounts of the event, no charges were filed.
