12:27 a.m.: disturbance, Main Street, a deputy fire chief reports that after responding to a false alarm he found two parties underway in nearby apartments with more than 200 people in attendance, the responding officers reports that the fire chief declared the gathering of more than 300 people to be a fire hazard and the parties were dispersed, the supervisory officer reports the tenants were advised that the property owner and the WSU athletic office would be notified;
1:22 a.m.: assist resident, Noble Hospital, a caller from the hospital’s Emergency Department requests a courtesy transport for a discharged patient to a north side assisted living facility, the respond officer reports the resident was provided transport to a North Road address and escorted safely inside;
2:22 a.m.: disturbance, Myrtle Avenue, a caller reports a loud party, the responding officer reports he heard music from the driveway, the officer reports the tenant was polite and cooperative, the tenant asked his four remaining guests to leave and shut off the music, a city ordinance violation citation was issued and the tenant was warned that future noise complaints could result in a criminal complaint;
11:37 a.m.: vandalism, Murphy Circle, a caller reports her vehicle was vandalized, the responding officer reports the caller said that what appeared to be numbers have been carved into the front bumper of her car;
1:58 p.m.: identity fraud, Western Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain of misuse of his personal information, the responding officer reports the complainant said that a phone account had been opened in his name without authority;
4:36 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance and it was towed to the police impound yard;
7:14 p.m.: larceny, Irene Drive, a caller reports via the online reporting option that her camera was stolen, the complainant wrote that the camera was last seen in her purse, the case was referred to the Detective Bureau;
7:29 p.m.: assault, Van Dussen Apartments, 42 Arnold St., a caller reports a man was attacked, the responding officer reports the victim said that he went to a neighbor’s apartment to complain about noise and an argument developed, the 70-year-old resident said that that the other resident followed him into the elevator and punched his head, face and stomach, the man said that the other man also unsuccessfully attempted to hit him with a beer bottle, the officer reports the suspect admitted pushing the man from behind but denied hitting him, John M. Abbott, 48, of 42 Arnold St., was arrested for assault on a person older than 60 years-old with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a person older than 60 years-of-age.
