Major crime and incident report

11:42 a.m.: Vandalism to a motor vehicle, Main Street. Police received a report from someone who was in a store on Main Street, and while there their vehicle’s tires were slashed. Police reported that they have a suspect, but that it needs to be followed up further; no further information.

1:35 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Taylor Avenue. Police received a report for a two-car accident involving a 2011 Honda Civic and a 2011 Chevrolet Impala. One of the people involved ended up striking their steering wheel, which prompted a response from Westfield Fire paramedics. Person was transported to Baystate Noble. No other injuries to note.

1:51 p.m.: Larceny, Southampton Road. Police received a report from a woman who reported that money from her purse and jewelry from her home were stolen. The woman told police that she did not initially notice the belongings stolen and that she had been out in the yard for a period of time, then when she went to leave the home she noticed belongings missing. Police have no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
