Major crime and incident report

7:51 a.m.: Accident, Orange Street. Police received a report for a truck that struck the underpass. According to the report, the vehicle became wedged underneath. No injuries were reported.

2:36 p.m.: Larceny, Carol Circle. Police received a report of 40 arborvitae trees that were allegedly stolen at some point the day before. Police are investigating.

3:25 p.m.: Officer wanted and arrest, Cranston Street. Police received a report that someone was allegedly intoxicated and left in a vehicle. The person reporting knows the alleged suspect. Police stopped the vehicle on Southampton Road. Police arrested Jeffrey L. Moulton, 58, of Westfield, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.

5:31 p.m.: Accident, Elm Street. Police received a report of a three-car crash involving a 2014 Nissan Maxima, 2011 Chevrolet Traverse and a 2008 Ford F150. No injuries were reported initially but an ambulance was later requested to assess a person. No report of a person transported to the hospital, however.

6:17 p.m.: Accident, Main Street and Meadow Street. Police received a report for a bicyclist who reportedly struck the side of a 2014 Nissan Rogue. According to police, the Rogue had went around the cyclist and then took a left in front of them. The cyclist was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel.

7:20 p.m.: Accident, Mill Street and West Silver Street. Police received a report for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2009 Toyota Prius and a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Police reported that both vehicles were towed two people were transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel.

9:12 p.m.: Arrest, Franklin Street. Police reported that they were attempting to arrest Nicholas A. Thurman, 33, of Westfield, after they attempted to serve a warrant for him and he allegedly fled the scene. Police reported that they stopped him a short time later. Thurman was arrested and charged on the warrant, as well as disorderly conduct and resist arrest.
