12:28 a.m.: incapacitated person, Noble Avenue, a caller reports she was awakened by a man stumbling on her property who appeared to be intoxicated, the responding officer reports that a highly intoxicated man was found who was bleeding from a laceration apparently sustained in a fall, the man was transported to Noble Hospital for treatment;
6:19 a.m.: assist other police department, Franklin Street, a detective reports he assisted members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section execute a warrant, Sean Michael Peich, 25, of 101 Franklin St., was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant;
6:55 a.m.: arrest, Maria Drive, officer were detailed to attempt to serve warrants, Nicholas J. Distefano, 28, of 2 Maria Drive, was arrested on a 2014 warrant issued by Westfield District Court;
9:27 a.m.: fire, Notre Dame Apartments, 25 Collins St., a caller reports a fire alarm and said smoke was showing, dual response dispatched, the responding firefighters report no fire was found;
10:31 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Union Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the pickup truck’s registration was found to be expired and it was towed to the police impound yard;
12:45 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Union Street, a patrol officer reports he spoke with a woman who was staging a tag sale without a permit, the officer reports the woman was advised of the infraction and packed up her property;
3:16 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, an employee of a Main Street supermarket reports that a person who has previously stolen from the store has left with a basket loaded with merchandise which was not paid for, the responding officer reports the woman was served with a ‘No trespassing’ order and a criminal complaint was filed, the suspect was provided a courtesy transport to a Broad Street address;
3:48 p.m.: larceny, Feeding Hills Road, a caller from a nursing facility reports that a resident complained that cash was stolen from her, the responding office reports that the woman said that money was stolen from her bedroom in the past few days;
6:18 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance and it was towed to the police impound yard;
6:25 p.m.: found property, Noble Street at Main Street, a Springfield resident came to the station to surrender a purse found near the intersection of Noble and Main streets, the responding officer reports the owner could not be immediately contacted and the purse was stored for safekeeping;
8:27 p.m.: breaking and entering, Main Line Drive, a caller reports her vehicle was broken into while she was away, the responding officer reports that the woman showed him her car’s smashed window and said that her purse which had been partially concealed under a seat had been stolen;
10:14 p.m.: assist other agency, Jefferson Street, a probation department official requests that an officer be detailed to execute a warrant issued for failure to comply with probation conditions, Kimberly D. McNeice, 47, of 8 Jefferson St., was arrested on the warrant.
