12:42 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating without a valid inspection sticker and stopped the car, the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, Karl J. Melendez, 27, of 324 Main St., Easthampton, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker;
6:46 a.m.: accident, Granville Road, a caller reports a vehicle crashed into a utility pole and left the roadway, see story in the Monday edition of The Westfield News;
10:55 a.m.: school investigation, Columbus Apartments, 97 Elm St., a school resource officer reports a woman advised him of an ongoing issue with a former boyfriend, the SRO report the woman shared a diary of incidents of harassment perpetrated by the man despite an active harassment prevention order, the officer reports that Jason J. Bickford, 35, of 97 Elm St., was arrested for six charges of violation of an harassment prevention order and a charge of criminal harassment;
1:45 p.m.: larceny, Southwood Acres, 342 Southwick Road, a resident came to the station to complain of unauthorized activity on her bank account, the responding officer reports that an unauthorized debit to her account caused it to be overdrawn and service fees were imposed, the woman said that additional unauthorized transactions occurred but the bank reimbursed her account for the money fraudulently withdrawn and closed both her and her husband’s accounts, the woman said that not all of the penalties for insufficient funds which resulted from the fraudulent withdrawals were credited to her account;
1:53 p.m.: accident, Westfield Vocational-Technical High School, multiple callers report a person was struck by a vehicle, the responding officer reports a motorist said that two boys darted out from between parked school buses and he was unable to avoid striking them with his vehicle, the man said that the “No passing’ lights on the buses were not flashing, a witness supported the operator’s account of the events, one of the boys was transported by Fire Department ambulance to Baystate Medical Center were no information about his condition was available due to the boy’s age, a family member said she would take the other boy to Noble Hospital;
6:51 p.m.: arrest, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., officers were detailed to attempt to execute multiple warrants, Angie Janet Santiago, 25, of 126 Union Street was arrested on warrants issued in 2014 by the district courts in Westfield and Holyoke;
10:42 p.m.: liquor law violations, Elm Street, a supervisory officer reports a liquor law violation was encountered and a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
11:37 p.m.: liquor law violations, Mechanic Street at Chapel Street, officers report a liquor law violation was encountered and a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
11:48 p.m.: liquor law violations, Cherry Street at North Cherry Street, a supervisory officer reports two persons were found to be in violation of city liquor ordinances, city ordinance violation citations were issued.
