What gives?! Today is Memorial Day and what do I see? A mail truck go by my house. This is one of the reasons for postal prices going up! What’s the purpose for them being out today? We have seen them also on Sundays. Earlier this year The United States Postal Service won the bid to be the local Sunday and Holiday delivery service for FedEx.

Dear Pulseline, My wife and I visited Grandmothers Garden today. It is a gem and the good people who care for should be thanked for their hard work! The many types of Iris, now in bloom are something an artist could draw inspiration from! Iris was the godess of the rainbow! We also stopped by Westfield State University to see the Iris and Lupine planted many years ago by thr class of 1976. It was their BIcentenial Garden complete with a large goldfish pond containing water lilies and wild yellow iris! Sadly no one has had the time to take care of it and its flower beds have been mowed down! The plaque left by the class of 1976 now sits by a tiny garden near the Wilson Hall Greenhouse!
This is an example of people caring or not caring about natures beauty!

On Saturday at the veterans memorial at Stanley Park was the most beautiful ceremony, telling the stories of those who gave their lives for our freedom. All the veterans organization’s were represented, and proudly. The organizers of this event did a wonderful job. THANK YOU.
