SOUTHWICK – Vinnie Fortini went 2-for-4 with a triple and a RBI, Bob Hamel went 2-for-2 with two triples and two RBIs, and Jake Goodreau collected four RBIs as Southwick battered St. Mary, 13-1, on Wednesday. The Rams took advantage of 12 walks issued by Saints’ pitchers.
Andrew Mitchell scattered four hits, and allowed just one run in five innings on the mound for Southwick.

Rams’ Ryan Leclair closed out the game. Leclair allowed just one hit, and struck out one batter.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Southwick wins thriller
Southwick def. Smith Voke, 25-21, 24-26, 25-12, 14-25, 15-11
Ryan Todesco delivered 23 kills, Tim Giancola logged 22 assists and four aces, Dylan Buscemi recorded 11 digs and four aces, and Jake Prewett contributed six kills to lead Southwick.

SOFTBALL
Rogers homers in Rams’ rout
Southwick 19, Holyoke Catholic 2
Sydney Rogers blasted a triple and home run, Tori DellaGuistino tripled, and Jen Yelin went 2-for-3 in Southwick’s blowout victory.
Rams’ Emily Lachtara (0 runs allowed) and Nikki Willey (2 unearned runs) each pitched two innings to shut down the Holyoke Catholic.

GIRLS’ TRACK & FIELD
Frontier 95, Southwick 41

Ashley Consolini (400 hurdles, 1:16) and Emily McKinney (800 meters, 2:38) managed individual victories for Southwick, and the Rams’ relay teams finished first as well.

JV BASEBALL
St. Mary 2, Southwick 1

Josh Lis scattered five hits and struck out five batters for Southwick.
