Regularly scheduled meetings in the city

WESTFIELD—In order to help residents know when and where city government meetings take place, The Westfield News has compiled a list detailing the regular schedules.

The list was provided by the City Clerk’s office and contains several boards and commissions throughout the city. And while these meetings are the recurring monthly ones, there may be meetings that are rescheduled or emergency meetings may be called.

According to City Clerk Karen Fanion, this list also does not include the City Council’s various committees. Fanion said via email that these committees do not have set schedules, and instead meet as needed.

At-Large Councilor and City Council President John Beltrandi confirmed this information, noting that it is at the discretion of the chair of each committee and that “it depends on what each one has in their committee.”

He also said that some may meet monthly, while others could meet just twice a year.

This list also does not have the Traffic Commission on it, since they have a quarterly meeting with time and location determined at a later point, Fanion said.
