Roxie Pin Joins NEPR’s Development and Major Gifts Team

SPRINGFIELD – New England Public Radio is pleased to announce that Roxie Pin has joined its development department. In her new role as Senior Major Gifts Officer, Pin will work directly with Pam Malumphy, NEPR’s Executive Director of Development and Major Gifts, to secure major and planned gifts for the station’s annual fund and special projects.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Roxie join our team,” said Malumphy. “Her breadth of experience and enthusiasm towards philanthropy is inspiring and we could not be happier to have her with us as the newest member of the NEPR family.”

Pin comes to NEPR from Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Massachusetts where she headed the development department from 2012-2016. Under her leadership, support of the theatre company’s annual fund experienced significant growth, two capital renovation projects were funded, a major, donor-funded facility was acquired, and endowment policy was created along with the establishment of the first endowment funds.

Pin’s 30-year career in development began at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts and took her to Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she managed the graduate school’s development program before heading to Barrington Stage. She has also been a guest lecturer in nonprofit arts management at Skidmore College.

Pin attended Hartwick College, receiving a BA in Psychology and a BA in Sociology. She subsequently attended Western New England University receiving an MBA in Marketing. She also received a Graduate Certificate from Bay Path University in Nonprofit Management & Fundraising. She lives in Huntington, MA where she and her husband have a small farming operation that includes a Christmas tree plantation under development, chickens, geese, dogs and cats. Pin is a beekeeper and hopes to significantly expand the apiary operations of the farm in the near future.
