WESTFIELD – The St. Mary’s High School girls basketball team banded together for a big “W”.
Jessica Crosby scored a game-high 10 points, Anna Kosinski contributed eight, Erin Olearcek collected seven, and Alexis Shedd finished with six to lead St. Mary’s past Westfield Tech 43-16 Tuesday night in an all-Whip City showdown.
Madie Donais and Kaylee Hamel each chipped in four for St. Mary’s. Saints’ Gina Mulvenna and Abbi Shanahan had two apiece.
Jenna Folsam led Westfield Tech with seven points.

Spartans upend Bombers
East Longmeadow 47, Westfield 40
Cooliage scored a game-high 19 points, including six free throws, and Sharon made three 3-pointers in finishing with 13 points as East Longmeadow escaped Westfield with a close victory.
The game was decided in the second quarter where East Longmeadow outscored Westfield 17-8.
Wood led Westfield with 14 points. She made two shots from 3-point range.

Rams edged
Smith Academy 43, Southwick 40
Smith squeaked out a nail-biter. Maura Wurster led the way for Southwick with eight points.
In JV action, Mia Ann Toni had some big offensive rebounds and Brielle Ensign delivered solid “D.”
