Walter Wrobleski

WESTFIELD- Walter F. Wrobleski, 89, of Westfield, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015flag in a local nursing home. He was born in Westfield on August 3, 1925 to the late Frank and Margaret Wrobleski. He was a lifelong resident and attended local schools. He was a U.S Army Veteran on WW-2 serving in the Battle of the Bulge and he received the Purple Heart. Walter worked for the Tobacco Farms, Columbia Mfg. and Old Colony Envelope as a die cutter and retired in 1990. He enjoyed walking in Westfield, mushroom picking, reading and spending time in Cape Cod. He was pre-deceased by his wife Betty A. (Smullen) Wrobleski on June 29, 2002. He leaves his son Raymond J. Wrobleski of West Springfield, his sisters Dorothy DeSanti of Southwick and Helen Wrobleski of Northampton. The family would like to thank Noble Hospital and Governors Center for the great care that was given to Walter. The funeral for Walter will be held on Wednesday May 27th at 1 pm from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2 pm in the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
