Westfield American and Easthampton compete in Little League action

WESTFIELD – As Westfield American already held a comfortable 10-3 lead over Easthampton, the team from the Whip City exploded for 12 runs in the top of the sixth inning. Colby LaPoint had two doubles including three RBI’s in that inning.

Westfield American was able to dominate Easthampton 22-5 in the 11-year-old division at Ralph E. Sanville Memorial Field.

Scott Hepburn and Jay Scherpa were both able to produce home runs for Westfield American. Jay Scherpa, Kyle Scherpa, and Scott Hepburn combined the efforts on the mound for Westfield American.

Westfield American now looks forward to a cross-town rivalry matchup with Westfield National on Thursday at Papermill Field at 6 p.m.
