SPRINGFIELD – Kristian Driscoll scored the game-winning goal with 3:10 remaining in regulation as the Westfield State University men’s soccer team edged Emmanuel College, 1-0, in the consolation game of the Soccer City Shootout hosted by Western New England University.
Dom Cavallini assisted on Driscoll’s goal. Westfield outshot Emmanuel, 12-5.
Owls named to the all-tournament team were junior goalie Keith Hevey and freshman Cody Baglow.
The Owls host Albertus Magnus College in their home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 7:00 p.m.
