Westfield student to sing at NCAA Championship

WESTFIELD –  Shea Braceland, an 11 year old from the city, will be performing the National Anthem, Saturday May 27th  at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough at the start of the NCAA D1 Men’s Semi-Finals Lacrosse Championships.

The NCAA D1 Men’s Lacrosse Championships have been pared down to Towson University vs #3 ranked Ohio State University on Saturday at 12n and #1 University of Maryland vs #5 University of Denver starting at 2:30pm. 

The Men’s Lacrosse Championship game will be played on Monday at 1:00pm EST.  Coverage of both the semi finals and championship game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Braceland will be performing prior to the start of the first semi-final game at 12:00pm. The NCAA has estimated that nearly 30,000 will attend the games.

Braceland is a student of Dan Kane also of Westfield and performs regularly with Dan Kane and Friends throughout Western Massachusetts. Performances have included the East Longmeadow concert series, A Rise for Knowledge Christmas Concert benefitting the Westfield Athenaeum, the Holyoke Mall for Christmas and Easter, and many inspirational concerts throughout the year.
