WSKB Personalities Acknowledged at 104th ANG Ceremony

On Saturday, December 2nd several on air personalities from WSKB radio were acknowledged for their efforts during the 2017 Westfield International Air Show at a Commander’s Call ceremony at the Barnes 104th Air National Guard base.  

Mentioned during the ceremony were the 20 hours of live broadcasting over the weekend that included continuous traffic reports.  

Approximately 1000 Airmen were present at the ceremony. 

Each on air personality were presented a “Commander’s Award for Excellence” commemorative challenge coin.  A signed lithograph of the F-15 Eagles was presented to WSKB producer Peter Cowles.  

Over the course of the weekend of the air show WSKB broadcasted traffic reports, and interviewed pilots, members of the Air National Guard, and other air show personalities.  

WSKB also simulcast the air show announcers during the broadcast.  WSKB community programming can be heard 7 days a week, 6AM-10AM on 89.5FM and on wskb.org.  A video feed from the studio can be seen on local cable channel 15 or at westfieldtv.org.
