Westfield – Ruth M Dunn-Larrabee, 63, of Westfield, beloved wife of Robert C. Larrabee of 11 years, lost her courageous battle with cancer Friday June 15 2018. She was the daughter of the late Walter R. Dunn and Rita M. Dunn and was predeceased by her brother Kevin H. Dunn.
Ruth grew up in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. She then found in Westfield a home, a place to raise her family, and where she then graduated from Westfield State College. In her career, she was a purchaser for various businesses before retiring in 2017 from the City of Westfield Conservation Dept. Ruth is survived by 2 children, her son Jason (J) Carbonneau, his wife Danielle and 4 Grandchildren, Zane, Logan, and twins Oliver and August, her daughter Jill Carbonneau and husband Josh Longo. She also leaves a brother Robert E. Dunn and a sister Lois A. Dunn, 2 sister in-laws Joyce and Irene, a brother in-law George and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was an avid reader and the beach is where she enjoyed reading the most. She loved her family, music, photography, traveling, friends, and wine. Ruth was known for her sense of humor and sarcasm… the more she gave you a ribbing the more she loved you. Ruth also leaves many friends that will miss her dearly. She was a member of the Sons of Erin and the Slovak Club and enjoyed everyone there for Fox Sake.
