Don E. Ball, 88, passed away on June 22, 2018. Born in Springfield on Septembe
r 12, 1929, the adopted son of Ruth and Walter Ball. He was predeceased by his loving wife Rev. Anna Mae (Fouli) in 1997 and a dear friend Margaret Moore in 2009. He is survived by his children, Laura Pieczarka and husband Robert of Westfield, Christopher Ball and wife Karen of S. Windsor, CT, Kimberly Diehl and husband Douglas of Westfield, Cheryl Sweetman and husband Bill of Enfield, CT and Craig Ball and wife Jennifer of Meriden, CT. Don is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan, Sara, Heidi, Jeff, Michelle, Bobby, Stefanie and Nathan and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Kaila, Evan, Kaiden, Celeb and Allison. Don was a great father, friend and loved to laugh and enjoyed life to its fullest and will be truly missed by his family and good friends Ed, Roger, David and Mabel. Don in his earlier years worked for Strathmore Paper Co. and Steward Sandwiches. He served in the United State Marine Corps in 1948. Don was grateful for the many blessings he received. His family is thankful for the love and personal care that Don received from the Governor’s Center during this very difficult time. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 1PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Western Ave. Westfield, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 26th from 4-7PM in the funeral home.
