Over 1,300 volunteers from throughout the Pioneer Valley lent a helping hand to charitable agencies throughout the area that were in need of assistance with maintenance, office work, painting and other projects.
Throughout the school day volunteer teams from Westfield Bank, Mass Mutual and Hamilton Sunstrand performed landscaping, spreading, painting and building projects outdoors while others will work on preparing student materials and organizing literacy libraries for the schools indoors. The projects are coordinated by the VIPS program.
