Once again, members of the St. Peter & St. Casimir parish community have been busily preparing for their upcoming Christmas Fair and Bake Sale. On a recent Saturday, parishioners tied on their aprons and brushed off their rolling pins to assist in the preparation of Kolace, a traditional Slovak sweet bread which is popular during the holidays. Dough is mixed, allowed to rise, and then filled with one of four fillings (nuts, poppy seed, apricot, and prune) and then baked in preparation for sale during the Christmas Fair. The breads will be available on a ?first come-first served? basis on the weekend of the fair on December 1st and 2nd. Hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on December 1-9 am until noon on Sunday.
