This submission will go against the grain in Westfield where most people will complain, but I must commend the men and women who have been plowing our streets. It’s Monday afternoon Feb. 9th and, as this paper reported in today’s edition, the fourth consecutive Monday of snow. With more than 400 miles of streets in Westfield this is not an easy job on a good day but for these fine folks to be losing sleep and time with their families to make sure we can get to work, church and the store, they all deserve our thanks. Some streets may not be perfect but most are done fairly quickly and provide us a good way to get around. So thank you to the plowers out there. This old lady likes what you’ve done.
