Area Students Make the Dean’s List at RIT
ROCHESTER, NY – The following local residents made the Dean’s List for fall 2014-2015 semester at Rochester Institute of Technology:
Calvin Carrington of Huntington is a third-year student in the biology program in RIT’s College of Science.
Benjamin Wilcox of Southwick is a fourth-year student in the new media interactive development program in RIT’s B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.
Cassandra Smithies of Westfield is a first-year student in the industrial engineering program in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering.
Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean’s List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of “Incomplete”, “D” or “F”; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

NW Catholic Graduate Interns with Susquehanna GO Program and makes Dean’s List
SELINSGROVE, PA – Abigail Johnson, of Granville, is serving an internship this spring at Susquehanna University’s Office of Cross-Cultural Programs.
Johnson’s responsibilities include assisting within advising, conducting student information sessions and producing at least one special event, and assisting with study abroad promotions and open houses, as well as assisting with the pre-departure and re-entry of students going abroad . Through the course of the internship, she will gain experience in public relations. Johnson is a neuroscience major in the Class of 2015. A 2011 graduate of NW Catholic High School, she is the daughter of Don Johnson and Martha Lilja-Johnson.
Johnson was also named to Susquehanna University’s dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Joseph Stevens makes Dean’s List at Washington College for the Fall 2014 semester
CHESTERTOWN, MD – Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, has announced its Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester.
Joseph Stevens ’16 from Blandford was recognized for academic excellence and achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester.
Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in historic Chestertown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Huntington’s Jonathan Wyand Named to Emerson College Dean’s List
BOSTON, MA – Emerson College student Jonathan Wyand of Huntington, MA has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester. Wyand is majoring in Stage and Production Mngmnt. The criterion to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
Westfield area residents on Bridgewater dean’s list
BRIDGEWATER – The following Westfield area residents were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Bridgewater State University:
Southwick : Kathryn R. Merritt and Westfield: Sydney M. Ezold, Anne F. Fratini, Rachel A. Lacey, and Jamie E. Sullivan.
U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Brandon M. Geiger graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Geiger is the son of Cynthia and Gordon Geiger of Westfield.
