INVERNESS, FL: Edna (Peterson) Wonson, 89, of Inverness, FL, passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2015. She was the wife of the late Dr. John Fletcher Wonson and is survived by her two daughters, Pamela and her husband Howard Pease of Westfield and Candace W. McGinn also of Westfield. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a niece, Karen and her husband Foster Winter and a great nephew Zack. Edna was predeceased by her sister Thelma, a nephew Scott and a grandson Chip. Dr. and Mrs. Wonson enjoyed many years residing in North Chester, MA before retiring to Inverness, FL. Edna was an avid golfer and bridge player. She will also be remembered for being a wonderful cook, for having a generous heart and for being a huge animal advocate. All services will be private.
