WEST BOYLSTON, MA: Edwin “Russ” Munson, 94 died on February 23, 2015 after a short illness, in West Boylston, MA. Born in Springfield on February 16, 1921, he was the son of Edwin Shepard Munson and Agnes (Russell) Munson. Russ grew up in Longmeadow and was a graduate of the Worcester Academy. He received his Masters degree in engineering from Yale University and worked for most of his career as an engineering sales represenetive of the ALCOA Aluminum Company. Edwin served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII as an Aircraft Mechanic stationed in England. His joys in life were; golf, martinis and a good cigar. After his retirement he took pleasure in driving cancer patients to chemotherapy appointments. He was predeceased by his wife Priscilla (Giles) Munson and his twin sister Frances Birnie Williams. He leaves his Daughters Roxanne M. Parkman of Ashburnham and Elizabeth Munson of West Boylston. He was a grandfather to 3 and a great grandfather to 5. He will also be missed by his nieces Halley Trani and Sydney Manley and dear friends, Herb Pope, Curt McDaniels, and Lori Robinson.. The Burial will take place in Longmeadow Cemetery in the spring .The Dickinson Streeter Funeral Service was entrusted with his cremation.
