WESTFIELD: Phyllis (Boisseau) Porter. Born November 26, 1926 was called to heaven on April 12 with her loving husband by her side as she passed away peacefully. Phyllis was a loving wife and mother. Robert and Phyllis were married for 66 wonderful years. They had four children. She is predeceased by her oldest son, Jeffrey Porter of Las Vegas, NV. She also leaves behind her son Gerald Porter and his wife Diane Porter of Westfield, MA, Lorrie (Porter) Motyka and her husband Jim Motyka of Hatfield, MA, Edwin Porter and his wife Karen Schreffler of Madison, WI, Daughter-in -law Susan Porter of Las Vegas, NV, daughter-in-law Patricia Porter of Idaho, eight grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, and looking forward to another great grandchild in July. She has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends. Phyllis grew up in Westfield on a dairy farm with 7 siblings. She graduated from Westfield High School and went to work for Torrington needle. Before she retired she worked at Digital in Westfield. She was known for her cooking and baking. She won awards for her apple pies and her grandchildren loved her chocolate chip cookies and zucchini bread. She also made many porcelain dolls and loved ceramics in her younger years. Phyllis had a beautiful spirit and was loved by many who considered her their surrogate mother or grandmother. She was always there to listen to whoever needed to talk or to make your laugh if you were down. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday at 11AM in Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2 PM in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam.
