Douglas M. Diehl, 56, of 76 Brookline Ave., was found guilty of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and ordered to pay a $650 fine, and was found not guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, both charges stemming from a July 22, 2013, traffic stop by the Westfield Police Department.
Sergio Miacola, 57, of 9 W. School Street, received 18 months probation for six counts of uttering false checks and was ordered to pay restitution of $3,482. Miacola received concurrent 18 months probation after a disposition of continuance without a finding for four counts of larceny over $250 with restitution to be determined. He was also ordered to attend Gamblers Anonymous meetings.
Edwin Veguilla, 38, of 55 Allendale Road, Apt. 1, Hartford, Connecticut, received a year probation after a disposition of continuance without a finding for charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor by Southwick police.
Luke R. Foley, 19, of 11 Sherburn Place, Wilmington, received a 210-day driver’s license suspension, was ordered to pay $707, and required to attend a driver’s education course for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of liquor by a person under age 21. He was found not responsible for improper operation of a motor vehicle by Westfield State University police.
