I want to have everyone in this city supporting teachers! Wednesday night my family attended an author’s tea at Southampton Rd school for my daughter it was absolutely wonderful! This event was fully supported by the teacher herself her money, her time and time from her family. The time and money out of their own pockets that these teachers do needs to be recognized. We want our children to well in school, right?! Well, the teachers are doing the best they can with what they have so we as parents and as a community need make the mayor, city councilors and school administration more accountable for the way money is handled and brought in from the state, from local businesses and from the federal government. Teachers and paraprofessionals are the backbone , our foundation for our schools. We cannot keep burdening them with cuts of staff. There are so many variables that goes into teaching children let’s keep our foundation strong! So, a huge THANK YOU to all teachers and paraprofessionals for this school thoughout the Westfield district and may we all be supporting you for this next school year.

I have to tell you that I am very impressed with the increased number of photos you not only have in print but also on your web site. In the last few weeks I’ve noticed that you’re covering significantly more stuff with photos than you ever have. I checked out the photos section of your web site after your graduation special came out and there were hundreds of pictures for some of your graduations. Keep up the great work. Thank you very much. Recent changes in the news dept afforded us the ability to recruit more photographers enabling us to cover more than ever.
