Southwick—Patricia A. (Modzelewski) Hish, 79, (1936-2015) passed away at home on Saturday, July 4, 2015. She was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Kalinko) Modzelewski. She was a graduate of Agawam High School. She worked in the cafeteria in Southwick High School for several years before working for Monarch Life Insurance as an underwriter. Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred Hish, her daughter, Donna Hooper and her grandchildren, Theresa Hooper and Nick Besnia. Patricia is survived by her son, Alfred Hish Jr. of Westfield; her daughters, Carol Besnia of Westfield and Joanne Hish of Ludlow; her grandchildren, Scott Hooper, Christina Ramos, Matthew Henry, Christopher Besniaand James Kalisz; 7 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Edward Modzewlewski and his wife, Nancy and Joseph Modzewlewski and his wife, Donna, all of Agawam; and her sister, Mary Peters of Brooksville, FL. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 8th from 3-7PM from at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick.
