WESTFIELD – Boyd “Buddy” Carr, 44, passed away peacefully at the Governor’s Center in Westfield, MA on August 12, 2015. He was born in Worcester, MA on January 6, 1971. He was a graduate of Westwind Academy in South Hadley. Buddy worked at C&S Distributors in Westfield and was a short order cook at Fifties Diner & Denny’s in Chicopee for many years. He was an avid collector of music especially Pink Floyd and the Eagles and loved to DJ for family parties. Halloween was his favorite holiday. He adored his mother, Janice and had a special bond with his dad George and brother and sisters. He was predeceased by his parents George and Janice (Swett) Pecoy, his sister Karen LeMay and his nephew Joshua Laporte. He leaves his brother, Kent Pecoy of Wilbraham, his sisters, Beverly Rose,Michael of Springfield, Diane Hogan, Shaun of Spring, TX, and Cheryl Laporte,Ronald of Chicopee; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Tanya, Andrew, Jason, Elizabeth,Brett, Joel, Jonathan,Melanie, Matthew, Allison,John, Brian,Emily, Kelly, Joshua, Leeann, Michael, David and Ashley; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Adyson, Colby, Laura, Kayla, Jaylen, Jacoby and Braxton; and the rest of his extended family. He also leaves his mother Holly Carr; his brothers, Roger, and Jeffrey; and his sisters, Carol, Mickey and Mandy. The family would like to thank Lynn White and Maria Bapalonia for their love, care and dedication to Buddy. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 3-5 PM at the Firtion Adams funeral home, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Buddy’s funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10 AM at Firtion Adams funeral home, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St. Springfield.
