Benny L. Goodman, 79, passed away peacefully at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. He was born on December 7, 1935 in Rising Start, Texas to the late Philip and Katy (Snearly) Goodman. Benny served his country with the United States Air Force for 26 years, from 1956-1982, as an Air Transportation Superintendent, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gerlinde Goodman in 2006 and is survived by his loving children, Jack J. Goodman of Oregon, Gabriela Grant of Georgia and Michelle Goodman of Housatonic, MA, 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He will be buried with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 1 PM. Meeting directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
