WESTFIELD – 
St. Mary’s High School held an all-class reunion Friday at the Sons of Erin. Upstairs, members of graduating classes ranging from 1960 to the 2000s gathered informally, putting $5 in a basket at the door. Karen Casey, ’79, said her husband Jim Casey, ’78, started the reunion three years ago, as a way to get together without the need for a planning committee and all of the preparation. Among the group were members of the Class of 1980, who were celebrating their 35th reunion.
Downstairs, members of the Class of 1971 were meeting for the twentieth year in a row. Calling themselves trendsetters and saying they started the whole thing, they were also making plans for a more formal 45th reunion in 2016. Nancy Morin said their last formal reunion brought together 85% of the class, and next year they hope to bring in everybody. That reunion will be held in September upstairs at the Sons of Erin.
