Major crime and incident report
Thursday, February 4, 2016
7:50 a.m.:
accident, N. Elm Street at Holyoke Road, 2014 Nissan (towed) and 2012 Volkswagen (towed), no injuries;
8:55 a.m.: identity fraud, Zephyr Drive, party reported identity theft of tax return;
9:22 a.m.: annoying phone calls, Lockhouse Road, woman reported receiving calls and texts from a party for whom she has a restraining order;
1:44 p.m.: suspicious, Stanley Park, 400 Western Ave., forest ranger reported that a woman (an off-duty MSP trooper) told him she saw a man inappropriately touching himself in the park, she approached the suspect and he denied everything, and then left in a vehicle with a woman, license plate given to police;
2:24 p.m.: vandalism, Parker Avenue, resident reported finding a portion of lawn burned in close proximity to the garage;
2:39 p.m.: accident, Clock Tower, Southbound Elm Street, 2004 Chrysler (towed), an elderly female driver took down a sign and drove onto the curb, DPW notified, no injuries;
5:55 p.m.: accident, Berkshire Bank, 44 Little River Road, 2004 Honda Pilot (towed) and 2005 Chevy Silverado, no injuries;
6:54 p.m.: vandalism, W. School Street, resident reported damage to her windows, possibly from neighbor’s children;
7:57 p.m.: fraud, Clark Street, party reported possibly being a victim of fraud;
9:04 p.m.: medical emergency, Avery Street, 27-year-old unconscious man not breathing after overdosing on heroin, patient transported to Baystate Noble Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:45 p.m., medical examiner took jurisdiction of body;
9:38 p.m.: found property, 53 Notre Dame Street and 103 Woodmont St., party reported finding drill bits and a rusty drywall belonging to a known party;
11:08 p.m.: accident, Shell Mart, 135 N. Elm St. At 88 Notre Dame St., 2012 Subaru Forester (towed) and 2004 Chevy Cavalier (towed), one vehicle rolled over but all three occupants got out on their own so no rescue needed, two patients refused medical treatment.
