GRANBY, Connecticut – Two fishermen were rescued early Saturday afternoon after falling through the ice on Manitook Lake in Granby, according to FOX 61.
Police said first-responders found two people who fell through the ice about 50′ from shore.
They were in the water for about 19 minutes and were pulled out with a rope by police officers and nearby residents.
The victims were a teenager and his grandfather. They were reportedly visiting a Lakeside Drive resident and do not live in Granby.
Both were conscious and treated for hypothermia, then taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford.
