Southwick man busted for being a ‘John’

HARTFORD, Conn. (WWLP) — Hartford police arrested ten people this week after an investigation into prostitution in the area.
Police said the East Central Narcotics Taskforce set up a buy/bust operation in the capitol region area targeting “Johns” soliciting prostitutes. Officers said they learned of an increase of “Johns” engaging in the illegal solicitation of prostitutes, and of related narcotic activity.
Undercover officers arranged to meet with “Johns” who then offered the officer money in exchange for sexual actions. Police arrested and charged Brendan Rogowaski, 39, of Southwick, with promoting prostitution
Officers also seized about $1,500, and a 9mm semi-automatic with magazine and 13 rounds.
