Lorraine (Moore) Greany, 93, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Noble Hospital. She was born in Westfield on August 17, 1922 to Warland and Ada (Parker) Moore. She grew up in Westfield attended local schools and was a 1940 graduate of Westfield High School. She was a registered nurse serving in the U.S. Navy in WW-2. She married her late husband John A. Greany in 1947. John was also in the Navy serving on the East Coast until they moved back to Westfield in 1976. Lorraine loved spending time with her pets. She leaves her son Warland M. Greany of Newburyport, MA., her grandchildren Erin Porter and Jennifer Knapp both of Maine and Jeremy Greany of MA. She also leaves several great-grandchildren, her sister Marilyn Nicholes of Texas and a dear friend Annette Higgins. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her daughter Loreen Greany in 2001. The funeral and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
