8:29 a.m.: Arrest, Laurel Avenue. Police received a warrant from Westfield District Court and served it, arresting Jacob Samborski,27, without incident.
1:16 p.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a complaint from a Westfield resident who claimed that checks were illegally cashed from her account. Police were not sure how they were cashed but believe they were counterfeit. No other information available at the time of the report.
4:31 p.m.: Unwanted guest, Noble Avenue. Police responded to an address on Noble Avenue after receiving a report that the owner of a property has been renting a room out to someone, but recently they began having problems and they wanted the renter out. Police responded and the renter agreed to leave voluntarily. While there, the police found that the renter, Daniel J. Barrett, 35, also had an outstanding warrant and arrested him.
4:39 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Old Stage Road and North Road. Police responded to the intersection for a minor car accident involving a 2014 Honda Civic and a 1999 Dodge Stratus. No injuries were reported.
